Nozomi Entertainment Reveals Please Teacher!

Nozomi Entertainment has revealed that Please Teacher! will be released June 2, 2015!

Featuring English and Japanese audio with English subtitles, Please Teacher! will include on-disc extras such as the clean opening and closing, promotional videos, music clips, the preview for the OVA “Secret Couple” (also included), and Marie Love Theater.

Nozomi Entertainment Acquires Please Teacher! and Please Twins!!

Nozomi Entertainment is excited to announce the acquisition of the Please Teacher! anime series and its sequel spinoff series, Please Twins!

Nozomi Entertainment will release Please Teacher! as a 13-episode DVD collection in the summer of 2015. Also known as Onegai Teacher!Please Teacher! is directed by Yasunori Ide (Bastard!!) and features character designs by Hiroaki Gohda (Amagami SSLove, Election and Chocolate) and animation by Daume (DearS, Strawberry Marshmallow, Shiki). Please Teacher! first aired in Japan on the WOWOW network in 2002 as a 12-episode TV series, with an OVA episode produced later that year. The series was later adapted into a manga series of the same name, as well as a light novel.

Please Twins! will be released by Nozomi Entertainment as a 13-episode DVD collection in the summer of 2015. Reuniting the same production team as Please Teacher!Please Twins! originally aired in Japan on the WOWOW network in 2003 as a 12-episode TV series, with an OVA episode produced later that year. Also known as Onegai Twins!Please Twins! tells a unique story about three teenagers unsure of whether or not they might be related. Though this spinoff focuses on new characters, many characters from Please Teacher! appear throughout the series. Please Twins!was later adapted into a light novel, as well as a single-volume manga.

Nozomi Entertainment and Lucky Penny Entertainment Announce April 2015 Releases and New Acquisition!

Nozomi Entertainment and Lucky Penny Entertainment have announced their April 2015 release slate. Nozomi Entertainment will release The Rose of Versailles, Part 2 on litebox-style DVD, and Lucky Penny Entertainment will release the complete DVD collection of Looking Up at the Half-Moon on April 7, 2014. Nozomi Entertainment has also acquired the Sketchbook ~full color’s~ anime series.

The Rose of Versailles, Part 2 will contain episodes 21-40 of the series, featuring Japanese audio with English subtitles. On-disc extras include an interview with Director Osamu Dezaki and trailers.

Looking Up at the Half-Moon will include all six episodes of the series, featuring Japanese audio with English subtitles. On-disc extras include the clean opening, clean closing, and promotional videos.

Sketchbook ~full color’s~ will contain all 13 episodes of the series on DVD, and will be released by Nozomi Entertainment in the summer of 2015. The slice-of-life comedy is based on the manga series Sketchbook by Totan Kobako.

Nozomi Entertainment Announces Yakitate!! Japan Part 1

Nozomi Entertainment revealed that Yakitate!! Japan, Part 1 will be available March 3, 2015!

This DVD set will contain the first 27 episodes of the series featuring Japanese audio with English subtitles. On-disc extras include the clean opening and clean closing.

Right Stuf’s Nozomi Ent and Lucky Penny Ent Reveal February 2015 Releases and New Acquisition!

Right Stuf’s Nozomi Entertainment label revealed that the litebox-style release of The Rose of Versailles, Part 1 will be released February 3, 2015. The value-priced DVD set will feature the series’ first 20 episodes with Japanese audio and English subtitles. On-disc extras will include the clean opening and clean closing. This title is currently available for pre-order.

Right Stuf’s Lucky Penny Entertainment label revealed that the complete collection of You’re Being Summoned, Azazel will be available on February 3, 2015. This DVD set will feature all 26 episodes of the series with Japanese audio and English subtitles. On-disc extras will include clean openings, clean closings, and promotional videos. Lucky Penny Entertainment also announced the acquisition of Looking Up at the Half-Moon. This 6-episode DVD collection will be released in the spring of 2015. This 2006 series is directed by Yukihiro Matsuhita and features animation by Group TAC.

About Mobile Suit Gundam

The Mobile Suit Gundam franchise is a space opera anime that redefined the mecha genre. The original Mobile Suit Gundam series focused on using giant combat robots as a tool to win a war. This plot line structure strongly influenced future mecha series in the anime industry.

2014 marks the 35th anniversary of the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime release in Japan. The original anime series was created and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino and aired on Nagoya Broadcasting Network from April 1979 – January 1980.
